The All Saints’ Attleboro Search Committee has recommended, Bishop Bill has enthusiastically endorsed, and the Vestry has called The Rev. Craig Vickerman as the new rector of All Saints’.
After twenty years in youth ministry in Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Texas, Craig is currently pursuing his Masters of Divinity degree at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Hamilton, MA, from which he will graduate in May of this year. Craig is already a deacon, and Bishop Bill is eager to ordain him to the priesthood when he begins his work in Attleboro.
The search committee and vestry have been diligently praying that their new rector will launch them into the next phase of their parish legacy. They are confident that his collaborative leadership style will revitalize their individual and collective passion to follow Jesus and live out the Gospel. They are certain his youthful exuberance and shepherd’s heart will guide them to greater kingdom living and equip them for the good works that God has set before them.
Dcn. Craig wrote the following in a greeting to his new parish:
Scripture tells us that God is faithful, and the good work He began in you will be continued until that glorious day when Jesus returns. I am deeply honored that you have invited us to play an integral part of your journey. My family and I look forward to walking with you through the many season of life, but most especially I am excited to worship our heavenly Father with you. The Gospel of Jesus is sufficient in every way for all that we desire and for all that this world wants. I pray that you will join me in committing your life to fully living the Gospel in your families and places of work and that together we can live and share the Gospel with those in need throughout the greater Attleboro area, New England, and the world beyond.
Craig will be starting on Sunday, March 5 in a limited capacity until after graduation, and will become their full time rector on June 1. Please keep the Vickerman family in your prayers, along with the All Saints’ Attleboro community, as they move through this transition into the next chapter of their common life.
