The following is a statement by GAFCON Secretary, Dr. Peter Jensen. Feel free to share with your parishioners this encouragement to re-aquaint ourselves with the Jerusalem Declaration and celebrate the work of GAFCON thus far on Sunday, June 29:
The GAFCON movement began nine years ago with the publication of the Jerusalem Statement and Declaration on 29 June, 2008. That’s why on 29th of June this year we’re inviting Bible-believing Anglicans across the world to celebrate GAFCON Day and give thanks for the work of GAFCON in the Church.
In a world where many believers feel under pressure to compromise their beliefs, GAFCON Day will be a great encouragement to Gospel-hearted Christians like you, who are committed to guarding and proclaiming the unchanging Truth of God’s written Word.
As part of the celebrations, I’d like to encourage you to re-read or read for the first time, the Jerusalem Declaration, the basis of faith for the GAFCON fellowship.
May God richly bless you in Christ,
~Dr Peter Jensen
