Episcopal Visits

St Veronica’s Delaware

Bishop Bill visited St. Veronica’s Kenyan church on the weekend of October 21, during which he visited the church offices in Middletown, DE, to gather with leadership and worship together with them and their parishioners. On Saturday, Bp Bill met with the vestry for a face-to-face meeting, after which he performed seven different house blessings for individuals in their community. It was a tremendous joy and an evangelistic opportunity to be in the homes of new families in the church and to be able to bless them, especially those friends of the church who are not Anglican.

On Saturday night, Bp Bill went to dinner at the Rev. Paul Thuo’s house with 20 Kenyan members of the parish and a special guest, Audrey Atuhumuze from Uganda, who has been working with an orphanage ministry project in Uganda. On Sunday there were three confirmations and six women inducted into the Mother’s Union. During the service there was a Kenyan music and dance presentation after which he preached and celebrated from the Kenyan prayer book.
