Joe Balducci Ordained and Installed at New Hope, CT

On April 7, 2018, Bishop Bill ordained The Rev. Joseph Balducci to the priesthood at New Hope Anglican Church in Oakville, CT. It was a full service, with clergy from neighboring missions and churches attending to show their support. Bishop Bill celebrated and preached, and his sermon can be heard or seen in the ordination video below. Father Joe was born in San Juan Puerto Rico and grew up in New York City.  He attended Catholic Schools all through elementary and High School years, graduating from Mercy College while working in the IT industry.  He has spent 35 years working in Information Technology  and has done everything from computer operations, Business Consulting, Data Architecture and Strategy and currently, Project Leadership. Fr. Joe has been married for 37 years to his lovely wife Audrey and together they have 5 children and 6 lovely grand-children.

He was called to the ministry in 2013, and after much prayer started studying at St. Aiden’s Institute, after which he was ordained a Deacon in December of 2017. Fr. Joe has served at New Hope over the past six months and will now be leading the community in their life of worship and ministry. He was installed as vicar after affirming his ordination vows, publicly declaring his resolve to serve as New Hope’s priest, and accepting various gifts that reflect the different aspects of his ministry.

Please join the ADNE in praying for Fr. Joe and New Hope, that they may be strengthened with all faith to persevere in their service to God and His Church as they move to bring the transforming love of Jesus Christ to Connecticut.
