Bishop Andrew hosted a lunch and prayer retreat this week with the East African clergy of the ADNE. In the first year of his episcopacy, Bp Andrew wanted to bring them together to hear their stories and have them share ideas and ministry challenges with him and one another. One of the most exciting things about the ADNE is the rising global voice for the Gospel reflected in our thriving East African communities. Being able to spend time with East African clergy gave space for each of their stories of courage and sacrifice to be heard as they minister to their communities here in New England. Those stories lend themselves to the kind of missional potency of the diocese and strengthen all of us, because they bring a passion for the Gospel that was so characteristic of the East African revival in the past and that has been brought here into our present by these faithful men and women leaders.
