On Saturday, December 9, Bishop Bill ordained three men to the transitional diaconate at All Saints Anglican Cathedral. The Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Dorn will serve at Anglican Church of the Redeemer, Franklin. Ordained as a pastor in the Assemblies of God church, he felt called to Anglicanism and has been shaped by its theology and practice over the past several years. He is also a gifted worship leader and has been serving as a licensed lay pastor with Fr. Dan Sylvia. The Rev. Pierre Al Feghaly is from Lebanon and was an ordained deacon in the Maronite Church, an Eastern Rite Roman Catholic jurisdiction. He discovered Anglicanism when he moved to the United States and is pursuing service in the Anglican Priesthood. He will also serve as deacon at Redeemer, Franklin. The Rev. Joseph Balducci has served as a licensed lay leader at New Hope Anglican Church in Oakville, CT. He will continue to serve as deacon until his ordination to the priesthood and will help pastor the mission and facilitate its growth as New Hope moves towards a new chapter in its life.
The service had all three men surrounded by friends and family, despite the snow storm outside the cathedral doors. It was a beautiful service that showed the sobriety and joy that comes with diaconal ordination. Please keep Jeffrey, Pierre, and Joseph in your prayers as they embark on this new season of holy service.
