On February 10, 2019, Bishop Bill Murdoch visited Trinity Church in Greenwich, CT to greet the community there and to witness the Rev. Andrew Williams’ final service with his former congregation. Rev. Williams ended his ten years of service as head pastor at Trinity as he moves forward to become the second bishop of the Anglican Diocese in New England. Our Bishop-Elect began his ministry in Greenwich with the Trinity community, growing it from an average Sunday attendance of 300 to almost 1000 and from one site to two. Sunday’s service consisted of testimonies in honor of both Rev. Williams and his wife, Elena, for their various ministries and the ways they touched the community both inside and outside the church. In addition, Bishop Bill spoke prophetically to the congregation, ensuring them of the continued love of God as they transition to a new pastor and explaining to them the call of God on Bishop-Elect Andrew’s life as he moves into his episcopate.
Please pray for Trinity Church in Greenwich, CT, as they move towards searching for a new head pastor; that the Lord would accompany them in the process and give them guidance and peace.
