On Sunday, June 29, the Rt Rev Stanley Ntagali, archbishop of the Church of Uganda, visited two of our ADNE churches and brought greetings from our Anglican brothers and sisters overseas.
His visit began at All Saints’ Anglican Church and Pro-Cathedral in Amesbury on Sunday morning. Archbishop Ntagali delivered a powerful sermon (posted below) to a good sized crowd. In addition to members of All Saints’, there were also congregants from two Ugandan churches from Waltham, Massachusetts.
Following his visit to All Saints’, Archbishop Ntagali and Bishop Bill Murdoch traveled to Belmont, Massachusetts, where they participated in baptisms at an overflowing St. Peter’s Anglican Church of Uganda, Boston. This service was made all the more special because just a week earlier, St. Peter’s voted unanimously to join the Anglican Diocese in New England.
